Safety
Denney Excavating partners with RMS Safety to implement a formal safety program to benefit our employees and customers. The daily goal is to have zero workplace accidents. Having a consistent EMR of less than 1.0, Denney employees are very proud of the 0.84 EMR for 2008.
Safety Practices
Monthly job site audits, ongoing safety training, and weekly toolbox meetings at the jobsite help maintain our exceptional safety record. Job hazard analysis is conducted pior to any job beginning and a Daily Task Analysis is conducted.
Training
Employees are trained annually in disciplines such as First Aid and CPR, Competent Operator Training, and Underground Storage Tank decommissioning. Employees have completed the 10 and 30 hour OSHA training programs. We qualify employees for special waste operations through initial 40 hour HAZWOPER training and 8 hour annual refresher training.
Awareness
We maintain awareness of current safety practices and benchmarks as a member of the Metropolitan Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety and of the National Demolition Association.
